How sad is it that this story is about my son.....I'm just too heartbroken and shocked to write more about this write now, and will wait to consult with attorneys before I say much more, but I can tell you what is already public record. See links above.

Trusted Caregivers Caught on Tape Abusing Non Verbal Autistic Man.

Police say it's one of the worst cases of abuse they've seen.

We are horrified after discovering abuse caught on tape.

Abuse caught after we sat down and reviewed weeks of video surveillance caught on tape. Video was just recently installed in autistic son's room. A prior live feed video, where we've never been able to catch anything, was mysteriously cut a few months ago. Good thing it was, since it led us to get a video that records via motion detector.

Keep in mind these phony caregivers masqueraded as caring, compassionate people.

These are the hardest people to catch.

Thank GOD we installed video surveillance or we'd never have caught this.

Justice is in order. Please pray for our son, and for justice to be swift and sound.

Goodness will prevail...Love and Hugs to You and Jamey.

I'm so sorry this has happened to Jamey! It is something I fear will happen to my son at some point when I am no longer around. I myself was molested as a young teen by an ER doctor so I have always been "hover mom" with my son. Always in the room during his younger years during discrete trial, doctor visits and even dental visits. I am just now allowing him to ride a bus to school but only after making sure he had his own aide on board. Even so, I have no assurances. Yes, I am overprotective, so be it. The longest I've left him out of my charge was when I had gallbladder surgery back in 1996. :( I would love to believe that things will change but that is not a leap of faith I can take in light of statistics concerning abuse of the disabled, the elderly and children in general.

Matthew 24:12
"Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold"

"Goodness will prevail" but that's not for this world, it is only in Jesus and until he comes back in all his glory this is the reality we face.

I wish I could be a Pollyanna and say you will find the perfect nurse and I'm sure Jamey has had several competent and wonderful caregivers, but honestly I would keep those cameras rolling and make sure everybody knows it.

Again, I am so sorry and I hope the perpetrators are given the maximum sentence for the evil they have done.

Make sure you file a complaint against the nurse who abused your son with the State of CA Board of Nursing. We don't need that kind of person being a nurse.
